… Läs mer Jag är mycket skeptisk till alla böcker som har en karta längst fram. Då passar jag mig noga… Möjligen är det några barn och ungdomsböcker i fantasygenren som kan vara aktuella. Vampyrer, varulvar och utomjordingar går bort. Genast. Men osvuret är kanske ändå bäst för jag har faktiskt några fantasyböcker som jag ofta läser högt i mellanåldrarna och som både eleverna och jag gillar skarpt. Och de inleds med en karta!

Mörkret föll.
Kate Atkinsons nya roman Liv efter liv är en sällsam och fascinerande berättelse. Gång efter gång får jag som läser följa huvudpersonen Ursula till samma händelse. Man känner igen sig och ändå inte, förutsättningarna och utgången av händelserna är hela tiden olika. Slumpen eller ödet gör att spelreglerna ändras i liv efter liv. Så är det februari igen, snön ligger djup och den lilla Ursula föds. Så är det sextonårsdag, Ursula får sin första kyss. Så är det blitzen i London och halva staden ligger i ruiner. Idag blev jag sittande i bilen på parkeringen – jag var bara tvungen att lyssna klart på ett spännande program om Louise Burgeois. Just nu är hon aktuell med en utställning på Moderna. Missa inte Christoffer Carlsson!
I veckans som gick kunde man se den sista delen av SVTs serie Deckarna och en av deltagarna där var Christoffer Carlsson. Kriminolog, författare till 4 böcker, familjefar och ännu inte 30 år fyllda. Imponerande effektivt.
I sensomras lyssnade jag på Den fallande detektiven, som jag gillade skarpt, men jag insåg också att jag borde lyssnat på den första delen i serien först. Bättre sent än aldrig. Nu blev det Den osynlige mannen från Salem i mina lurar under lördagen. Första delen om det trasige polisen och antihjälten Leo Juncker utspelar sig i ett dystert… Läs mer
Jag har precis avslutat lyssnandet på en ny roman av Lucy Dillon och tänker att hon finns säkert på FB och Twitter. Kanske ska jag ta och kolla in henne där? Sagt och gjort, klart att en ung författare med läsare över hela världen finns på sociala medier och när jag då kom till hennes FB-sida så stöter jag på nästa grej jag måste klicka på. Hon berättar att hon är nominerad till Romantic Novels Associations korta lista och därmed kan hennes bok bli utsedd till The Romantic Novel of the Year 2015.
